S01 / The thesis
SRABS · Seed · 2027
The world’s mature wells are run with 1970s economics and no operating system.
Half the world’s producing wells are sucker-rod pumped. They lose ~$30B a year to rod-buckling failures alone. We’re building the brownfield operating system for that market, and breaking the patch’s catch-22 by becoming our own first customer.

rod-pumped wells globally
Texas, Bakken, Alberta, MENA, Argentina, Indonesia. Half are operated by independents under 500 wells.

Most of it preventable. Most of it triggered by rod buckling, the failure mode our pump physically eliminates.

artificial-lift wells (TAM expansion)
Echo + Brain work on any AL system. Rod pump is wedge; ESP/PCP/gas-lift is expansion.
S03 / Why now
Why now.
Three things converged by 2026.
Mature fields run the world.
Conventional production peaked. Every barrel now comes from a brownfield decision.
Operators are leaner than ever.
PE roll-ups, independents, family-run E&Ps. No one has staff to babysit pumps.
Edge AI got cheap.
A control loop that used to need a Houston control room now runs on a $400 box at the wellhead.
What we sell, today.
Three productized layers, bought together, or à la carte.

Operators won’t buy until you have years of field data.
You can’t get the data until they buy.
We break the deadlock the way the patch always breaks it. SRABS becomes its own first customer. We acquire 3–5 brownfield wells and run the full stack on assets we own. No procurement department. No 12-month pilot gauntlet. Just oil in the line and the only multi-year field record on the market by Series A.
Hardware startup looking for its first customer → energy-tech operator with skin in the game.
Why investors back this frame
De-risked sales cycle
Bypass the 12-month corporate-IT pilot gauntlet at every major operator. We install tomorrow because we own the lease.
The ultimate showroom
A live, working oilfield is worth a hundred decks. We fly the VP of Ops out to a well that used to break every six months, now running flawlessly on autopilot.
Instant revenue offset
Optimized output flows straight to the pipeline. Physical oil revenue partially offsets engineering burn from month one.
Unassailable proof at Series A
10,000+ hours of continuous field runtime, on our books, by close. Pipeline LOIs convert to enterprise contracts on real numbers, not promises.

S07 / Unit economics
Land. Expand. Lock in.
Land with a 1-well pilot tied to measurable LOE reduction. Expand to the field on the same contract. High-margin B2B SaaS ARR compounds as Brain takes more of the fleet. Each new product (Pulse, Enhance) raises NRR without raising CAC.

S08 / The team
Built by the people who wrote the papers.
SRABS spun out of two decades of buckling research at leading technical universities across Europe. The fluid-level measurement came from an acqui-hire of an Austrian edge-instruments team. Brain was built by an ML team from the same European university network. Field credibility is non-negotiable in this industry, and we have it.

Capital vertically integrates our own validation. We acquire 3–5 brownfield wells, retrofit them with the full SRABS stack, and train the Brain AI on live, commercial fields we operate ourselves. By Series A, we won’t be pitching a deck. We’ll be running an oilfield.
