S01 / The open letter
For: anyone with wells. From: the SRABS founders.

Loan us a well.
We’ll prove the stack on it.

Here’s the chicken-and-egg of oilfield tech: nobody wants to be the first to run a new system. Everyone wants thirty years of case studies. We don’t have thirty years. So we’re going to operate wells ourselves. If you have one you’d let us prove the system on, orphaned, tired, stalled, or just one you don’t have time for, we’ll roll up, instrument it, run it, and put every result on this website.

S02 / Why we're asking
01, the problem

O&G asks for 30 years of case studies.

No operator wants to be the lab. We get it, workovers are real money, lost production is real money, regulators are real money. Everything new gets the same answer: “come back when it’s proven.”
02, the play

We’ll be our own first customer.

Give us a well. We’ll operate it as if it’s our flagship plant. Founders on the lease. Field engineer in a trailer next to it. HSE in writing. Telemetry public. Every weekly report on this website.
03, the proof

Each operated well becomes a receipt.

By year two we have ten wells, in five basins, with verifiable production data you can hold up to any procurement committee. By year five, the “come back when it’s proven” answer becomes a yes.
S03 / Five ways this can work

Five shapes this can take. Pick one.

Each routes to a different conversation, and a different document we’ll send you.
01, orphaned

“I have wells I’d rather forget about.”

Marginal, stalled, near-abandonment, P&A-bound. Transfer them to us, free. We assume liability, plug what can’t be saved, revive what can. Tax-deductible charitable structure available where applicable.
Our move
Transfer paperwork in 30 days. Assessment in 60. Revive or P&A in 90.

02, operate & share

“I have wells I’d rather not babysit.”

You keep title and royalty. We take over operations, instrument, run, optimize, maintain. We split the production uplift above your baseline. You see your asset perform without lifting a finger.
Our move
30-day baseline. 60–40 split on uplift, in your favor. Termination at will.

03, strategic investor

“I want to back the team.”

Trust, family office, oilfield veteran, derrickhand-turned-owner. Come in on the Series A. We’ll run you a well as part of the diligence so you see the stack before you sign the SAFE.
Our move
Data room within 72 hours. Pilot well on a 30-day side letter.

04, acquire us outright

“I want SRABS as a captive.”

Big operator, PE roll-up, integrated major. Buy us, fold us in. We work for you until you’ve made 6× the purchase price in workover avoidance + production uplift across your fleet. The math is right of this card.
Our move
NDA-friendly intro. Indicative LOI within 2 weeks.

05, pioneer track

“I’ve been in the patch 30 years.”

Derrickhand who built up his own play. Field foreman with scars. Production engineer who’s seen every failure mode twice. We’d rather have your call sheet than another deck slide. Lease access & advisor equity available.
Our move
Coffee within 7 days. Lease tour within 30.

06, the turnaround

“I bought a field. I have 18 months to flip it.”

You picked up a brownfield cheap, Kazakh, Albanian, Argentine, wherever the majors walked away. Cash is in the asset; you need a visible production turnaround before the next process. We come in, instrument, optimize, and deliver a numbers-on-paper transformation that survives a data room. We’d rather own a slice of the exit than invoice you for the work.
Our move
Sliding fee-vs-equity scale. Carry tied to your exit multiple. NDA in 48h.

07, something else

“None of the above, but…”

Royalty partner. Land swap. Joint venture on a single section. Service-company spin-out of the operating arm. We’re open to weird shapes. The point is to run wells; the wrapper is negotiable.

S04 / The acquisition math · 6x in five years
For the buyout path

Buy us at $X.
Make 6X across your fleet.

Acquiring SRABS means a captive engineering team that pays for itself through one mechanism: workover avoidance on your own wells. Conservative math, applied across a typical 5,000-well PE-backed roll-up:
0
wells in portfolio (assumed)
0.0
workovers / well / yr (baseline)
0%
failures avoided (SRABS measured)
$0k
workover cost (basin avg)
5-year cash returned
Yr 1 · workover savings$96M
Yr 2 · + production uplift$182M
Yr 3 · + roadmap (Line/Pulse)$268M
Yr 4 · steady state$304M
Yr 5 · steady state$304M
Cumulative · 5 yrs
$1.15B
At a $180M purchase price · 6.4×
Workover savings alone clear the check inside 30 months.
S05 / What 'we operate it ourselves' actually looks like

Sleeves up. HSE in writing. Not cowboys.

Founders on the lease

For the first 5 wells, a founder is on-site weekly. Pickup truck, hard hat, mud on the boots.

Field engineer in residence

One full-time engineer per active well cluster. Lives in a 5th-wheel trailer adjacent. Yes, really.

HSE program

Per-state and per-province regulatory binders. ISN-ready. Insurance current. Audited quarterly.

Public telemetry

Every operated well streams to a public dashboard. Weekly field report posted. No cherry-picking.

Local crew, real wages

We hire former pumpers and roughnecks from the basin. Day-rate transparency on every job.

Real P&A discipline

Wells we can’t revive get plugged properly. We don’t walk away. We post the receipts.

Open data agreements

Operators who loan us a well get raw telemetry and a model report at the end, yours to take.

Royalty clarity

If there’s a mineral owner in the chain, they get paid. On time. We don’t mess with the title.
S06 / The things you're going to ask anyway

Are you actually licensed to operate?

Where we operate today, yes, Texas RRC, North Dakota DMR, Alberta AER. New jurisdictions before we accept new wells. We won’t take a well in a state where we don’t hold the license.

Does autopilot mean I lose control?

No. You set the guardrails, SPM range, fillage targets, kill conditions, and Brain runs the well inside them. We flag the exceptions you need to act on. The handle is yours; we just keep the wrist steady.

What if the well doesn’t come back?

We tell you in writing within 60 days. We either P&A properly at our cost or hand it back. No middle ground. No surprise invoices.

Will you publish my well data without permission?

Never. The public-telemetry program is opt-in and anonymizable. Your name is on the report only if you want it there.

What’s the catch?

We’re using your asset to learn. That is the catch. If that bothers you, this isn’t for you. If it doesn’t, every datum we learn we share back with you, on your wells, free, forever.

Can I get out?

Yes. 30-day notice. We hand the well back instrumented. Keep the data. Keep the optimized setpoints. No clawback.

Am I exposed to your liability?

No. We carry our own insurance, operator-named, additional-insured-able to your entity. We’ll send the COI before the first truck rolls.
